For over 18 years, Mary F. Boyles has been blazing her own trail in the entertainment industry as a playwright, producer, and visionary entrepreneur. She began her creative journey in theater, writing and producing original stage plays that resonated deeply with audiences.
Her musicals, A Night to Remember and Down Memory Lane, drew large audiences and community support, while her powerful drama Enough is Enough tackled domestic violence with raw honesty, sparking dialogue and reflection. In these productions, Mary wore many hats—Casting Director, Director, Company Manager, Assistant Stage Manager, and Stage Manager—showcasing her ability to master every aspect of production.
Building on this foundation, Mary transitioned into television and film, founding Stage 7 Entertainment LLC, a production company dedicated to telling stories that inspire, entertain, and challenge perspectives. Under the Stage 7 banner, she has created and developed multiple original series, including The Emersons, Legacy Hills, and her suspense-driven drama Hidden Agendas, for which the pilot episode has been completed. She is also co-producing Karma Rising, a five-part limited series based on the novel by former Ray Charles Raelette and educator Rita Graham, who collaborates with her as Co-Writer and Co-Producer. Mary’s work has always been rooted in resilience.
Over nearly two decades, she has experienced firsthand the barriers of industry gatekeepers, lack of funding, and the conversations that lead nowhere—or worse, those designed to manipulate. Yet these challenges only sharpened her determination. With the encouragement and wisdom of her late mentor and friend, Willie Simmons—whose credits include The Color Purple, Deep Cover, Scarface, The Cable Guy, and collaborations with Steven Spielberg, Laurence Fishburne, Whoopi Goldberg, Jim Carrey, and more—Mary learned the essence of producing: “learn, learn, learn.” Guided by his legacy, she studied, listened, and engaged with professionals across the industry, refining her craft and strengthening her vision.
Today, Mary is not only a creator of stories but also a creator of opportunity. Through her streaming platform Flixhaven.com, she is building her own distribution pipeline, ensuring her projects—and the work of other independent voices—have a home outside of traditional gatekeeping systems. By doing so, she is creating her own lane, her own legacy, and a model for independence in entertainment.
